Different colleges within a university

I understand that in some universities, the toughness of admission varies to some degree within colleges (i.e. the private colleges in Cornell are more difficult get into than the state-funded colleges) I was wondering how much tougher the admission to NYU’s undergraduate business program is compared to the rest of the colleges in the university. The stats for the admission for NYU seems easy, but the rankings and prestige of Stern makes me rethink my decision a little.

yea it’s similar, schools like stern and tisch at NYU are more selective than others.

I don’t know about NYU, but my university – the University of Toronto – is also built on the “Oxbridge” college system. For undergrads, there is St. Michael’s (Catholic) and Trinity (Anglican), as well as Victoria, Innis, Woodsworth, New College, and University College (non-religious). Trinity has always been the most difficult one to get into, and is in fact pretty elitist in personality and atmosphere; the easiest is probably Woodsworth, which is where many international and all academic bridging students come in.
