I’m applying as a transfer to William & Mary and Vanderbilt from the University of Georgia. For the essay about why I’m transferring, should I make two different common app accounts so I can talk about why I want to go to each school individually? Or is it ok if I just talk about why I’d prefer a small school in general? I’ve already submitted both supplements- is this a problem if I want to do that? Thanks in advance!

If the Supplements don’t ask “Why School X?”, then yes, send different versions of the “Why do you want to transfer?” to customize it for each school.

See this thread as well as the link in it to another thread, they discuss questions very similar to the one you’ve asked:

is it too late to make separate accounts if I’ve already submitted the supplements to both schools?

If supplements went via the CA, I don’t believe that you can make any changes to what you’ve submitted. If they went hard copy, you could ask the schools if you could submit a modification.
