So…I went off to do the TOEFL exam without even studying for it. In the end, I got a score of 99.
Now, the uni’s that I’m applying to require 100 on the TOEFL. Will they consider my application? I am in no mood to resit the exam…all because of 1 point.
According to another thread, you have already applied to Clark ED. Clark’s minimum is 75, so you are in great shape. Not having the 100 will only matter if you don’t get into Clark; from your other posts you would seem to be a very strong candidate. Bonne chance!
If they require 100, then 99 will not be good enough. You got 99 without studying at all. Do some review and take the exam again. It is almost certain that your score will go up a couple of points.
You have no way of knowing which schools will read your application anyway and which will automatically discard it. The one point difference might be all it takes for them to accept someone else from your country instead of you. I know that testing gets tiresome and brutal after a while but this is something that could really make a difference to you. I agree with @happymomof1, you are likely to have a significant increase on a retest. Definitely a worthwhile investment.
