I am having difficult to read the content fast with clear understanding? Please suggest me something good. I have 4 months to follow your suggestion.

I would just read for fun. Newspapers, children’s books, literature, anything you like that is well-written and not too tedious to read. I’m sure other people will tell you that this is a waste of time and you should focus just on the test but if your basic reading skills are suspect then you might as well start from the beginning. Plus, it’s fun! The more you read the faster and better you get at it. Captain Blood, The Three Musketeers, and The Scarlet Pimpernel are all older adventure novels which are fantastic reads but will also build your “deciphering hard passage” skills. Go to the library and read up on what you love, stalk the shelves for something interesting. Another bonus with this is if you read quality stuff you will pick up tons of SAT vocab. I love to read and, when I started studying for the SAT, realized I already knew 98% of the words just from reading for fun.

That’s my two cents at least. I’m sure more experienced people have better advice. Good luck!

If you’re talking about the critical reading passages, I know exactly how you feel. Critical reading was my worst subject and I thought that I would never be able to get my score up. But one day something weird happened. I decided to read my passages aloud in an accent and that helped. Obviously you can’t talk during the actual test so I pretended to read my passages in a male Australian accent. And no matter what, I retained all of the info and was able to answer the questions very well. I got a 740, which is an okay score, but I wouldn’t have gotten past a 650 without the passages. Another thing that helps is like loves2ride said. READ READ READ!

You might also want to try reading the questions first, so that you have a clear understanding of what you are looking for.

thanks all of you for good suggestions…
