<p>It depends upon what format you shoot in (RAW, JPG…) and how many megapixils it has (on the sensor). For example, a Digital Rebel has 6 megapixils, uses about 6 MB per picture in RAW format and as little as 3 MB per picture for its lowest qulity JPG pictures. A Canon Powershot S1 IS has about 3 megapixils and uses from 85 KB to 1.6 MB per picture depending on the quality of JPG you select for the pictures.
