Hello,

I am an out-of-state student and have just been accepted to UCLA 2009 for majoring in Math/Econ, and plan to double major with Statistics. I am confused between taking Summer course or go back to my home country to do a Music Concert.

Yamaha music company in my country has asked me to go back to do a concert along with the other 3 members of the group. This will be quite a big one as it will be 1,200+ seats for audiences.

I am really dilemma. While Music is NOT even my major, or useful for my career (I guess), I am thinking to take Summer course would be more beneficial for my education path so that I can pursue those double degree in 2 years. Next year I plan to find an internship.

I am really lost now as I can’t decide what would be better for me. If I don’t take summer courses, then I will have more units to take or even overload it in Fall/Winter/Spring which would be more difficult. If I take Summer course, then I will have chance to get to know UCLA earlier so that I could probably find/get on campus job by Fall.

IF anyone could suggest me, please do let me know. Please help me to decide which one is better for my future.

Thanks!
