I got in Wesleyan University through EDII program. However, it is my second choice, and Haverford College, my first choice, is still considering me for regular decision. If I get in Haverford College, can I ask for a guaranteed transfer so that I can attend Haverford in my sophomore year? Do colleges usually do that?

No…

This doesn’t make sense. When you are admitted to a school ED, you are required to withdraw your other applications, so you’ll never know if Haverford would have accepted you anyway. And why would you apply ED to a school that’s not your first choice?

I second the above post.

You are now required to withdraw your application from Haverford, as per your ED agreement with Wesleyan. But why would you have applied ED to a school that wasn’t your first choice? That seems like a foolish thing to do…

This shouldn’t be a “dilemma.” Your ED school is supposed to be your first choice.

If your family has decided it can afford the FA offer from Wesleyan then you must withdraw your app from Haverford. If you cannot afford Wesleyan then turn them down. You can’t compare offers.
