Dilemma.

I got my June SAT scores back. I haven’t taken Subject Tests yet, and I really don’t want to take the SAT Reasoning Test again.
I guess if I had to, I would take the October Reasoning and the November Subject Tests.

Oh, and I should have about 8 or 9 APs by the time I graduate.

That’s about it. So here’s the question…
Do I take the SAT Reasoning Test again for NYU, Vandy, Northwestern, UChicago, UC Berkeley?
…Or can I go ahead and end this whole test taking BS with the Oct. Subject Tests?

Your advice is really appreciated in this time of mass confusion.

Your SAT scores are about average, so they probably won’t really help you get into the colleges, nor will they keep you out. So it can only help to retake, but I don’t know if you care that much to retake–I think you’re okay with these scores, but of course you have to rely more on GPA, course difficulty, character, extracurriculars to get in.

NYU- Match
Vandy- Reach
Northwestern- Reach
UChicago- Reach
UC Berkeley- Big reach if OOS, Slight reach if in-state.
I would recommend taking the SAT again.

Yeah, that’s about right. But keep in mind that UChicago doesn’t really care much about SAT scores at all.

True, but it is still a factor.
