Dilemma!

So there is a trading card tournament being held in Seattle next month that I’ve qualified to attend. This is cool: I sink a lot of money into collecting these cards and playing with them, and the prize options are pretty cool (including iPod touch and Wiis!). I’ve never been to Seattle, either, and always wanted to visit, and there’s a friend up there willing to lend floorspace and give tours.

Pretty cool weekend. One big downside.

It’s on November 22.

The day of the Big Game.

I’m a graduating (5th year) senior and I bought season tickets because I couldn’t imagine earning a diploma from this school and not watching the Bears do their stuff. Missing the Big Game makes it feel like I may as well have saved my $100.

So what would you do? Dorky hobby with a chance to see a new city, or go to the Big Game for the first time during your last year at Cal?

can you leave for Seattle after the game?

The tournament starts registering at 10am, so they really are concurrent, unfortunately.

What card game is this?

WoW TCG. :p

I would say that you would have a better time at the card tournament thing. I mean, I’m guessing you’re not that big of a fan of football. There are going to be more football games in the future. It’s not like you’re never going to come back to visit Cal. The card game and the trip seems more like something that you might never do again.
