Dip In CR Score After Not Studying For It For A While

So, about 4 or 5 weeks ago, I really focused on CR, and I was able to consistently achieve only 1 or 2 wrong in CR per section. (I know that’s not great, but I used to get about 6 or 7 wrong per section) I had stopped studying for CR because my math and writing really needed to be worked on.

However, I just took a CR section today, (after not studying for CR for awhile), and I got around 4 to 5 wrong in one section. So, my question is, what am I supposed to do? Does anyone else suffer from their scores dropping when they stop studying for one part of the SAT, and focus on another topics (math, writing)? This is very very frustrating!

It’s pretty normal. Especially for the sentence completions. If you haven’t done a vocabulary revision then it’s a 100% chance that you won’t get some of the sentence completions. It’s normal your skills to degrade overtime. As far as my theory goes , SAT is like playing a sport - as long as you practice , you’re good. If you cease, you start to get out of shape.
