Diploma frames?

Stupid Kent State does everything ****ed up. Where can I get a frame that is 7 x 9 for my diploma? All the stores around here only have 5 x 7 frames, or 8 x 10 frames. I just want a cheapo $10 frame, not one of those $100 customized dealys.

Get a larger frame and buy a matte for the diploma. Have someone cut a 7x9 cut in the matte, and tada…it will look great.

how much are these mattes, or how easy is to cut/buy them yourself?

joev, places like Michael’s or other arts/crafts stores often will have “frame your own” sections where employees help you cut the matt and frame your diploma on your own. I did this for all my diplomas/certificates and, if I say so myself, they look great up on my “love me” wall.

Sweet, I never thought of that, I will go to Joanne Fabrics or Pat Kattan’s sometime this week.

I don’t think Joanne Fabrics will have those, but Michael’s and framing stores will. Even a custom cut mat or a double mat will not be too expensive, and then you can just put it into a standard frame. You should look for coupons, though, as Michael’s very often has 40% off of custom framing.

In our area, we have JoAnn ETC (stands for everything crafts). They DO have framing. The one plain JoAnn Farbrics does not. It’s worth a phone call.
