Direct Deposit into bank account

I have a part-time job next semester and I want to change my bank account for the direct deposit. I have my direct deposit going into my TD checking account right now. I want to change the direct deposit to go into my Citi savings account. What information do I need to provide to my workplace to make this change? By the way, I recently signed up for the Citi savings and I’m going back to school (OOS) tomorrow so I won’t be able to receive my “welcome kit” in the mail anytime soon.

For sure you will need your account number and the appropriate transit number. Bank of America has 3 different transit numbers for 3 different purposes (one for wiring, one for direct deposits, and one for ordering checks) but I don’t know what TD bank has.

Oh, I want to direct deposit into my Citi savings account.

You really should be calling Citi customer support to ask them this question.

all they need is the routing number (usually particular to state) and checking number. Why change from TD to Citi??

I’m not sure. My whole family has Citi and I feel very comfortable working with Citi. I like their benefits and with relationship pricing I can use my families’ account to meet daily minimum balance.

Oh, just curious…but, TD offers relationship pricing as well as a free student checking for 5 years.

lol someone here works for TD

What’s the point of relationship pricing when no one in your family has an account there?

Well there wouldn’t be any point if the parents don’t bank there…I was just stating a fact. BofA also offers relationship pricing…
