My DH has had back surgery and currently needs a cane. Many rental car areas require quite a walk and shuttle bus to return to the terminal. We have been surprised at SNA ( but later learned it was policy) to be offered shuttle service right in our Hertz rental check-in back around to the departure area. Leave your bags in the trunk. Kind Hertz guy jumps in and drives you to the right area. Helps you with bags.
Id guess other major car rentals offer the same thing. If you need assistance, make sure you have the placard visible.
Hertz tend to be top of the line… I am not sure some of the cheaper car rental places would do this, honestly. Just saying… given how they act about other things related to rental, I am not convinced of their goodwill toward customers all the time!
Hertz also does that for USAA members.
