I was wondering, does Brown compare SATs/ACT scores to people in your school, or do they compare you nationally? I go to a very large and diverse public school that’s 37% hispanic, but also about 23% Filipino, 20% black, and 17% Samoan, and the average SAT score is 1400, and the ACT around 16-18. I took the ACT for the first time in October and got a 26 (I’m a Junior). I know they do this at UCs.

Yes, Brown looks at your SAT score in context to your school, parents’ education level and education, etc.

^Don’t most “top” schools do this as well?
