sorry about the extra 4 I am sure you will get it soon jym626

Equally curious as to why you pop on after an almost 4 month absence with such adamance about this issue.

Wow, is that ever off base. Too funny. You do realize, wsd, that besides college stuff there are lifestyle forums, political forums, all sorts of things that people enjoy conversing within. That isn’t even in the same ballpark as wondering why you are hung up about what is going on at Tulane. You certainly have the right to be here, but it is a legitimate question. You said you got accepted at Tulane, but apparently you didn’t attend and have no immediate family ties. Could be wrong on the last, but people get curious why someone not involved with Tulane would be so interested in a rather “internal” matter. Whatever.

jym626 nice ad hominem attack.

Again are Graduate students teaching introduction courses to freshman at Tulane?

Say what? You a really are off base. Merely made an observation-- far less rude and snarky than yours. Post #43 was offensive and rude, and has been reported.

And hmmm… you suddenly show up in this thread after the other ■■■■■ was given his walking papers?

Once again, wsd, you can pose your question to the TU administration, admissions office or wait until the OP reports back. All of this has been suggested. What more are you looking for? (Rhetorical-- no need to answer).

As we have said, our best guess is that this is a temporary fix to a temporary problem. If you hear otherwise, yes, we would all like to know. No need to keep badgering everyone.

If I have offended anyone I apologize. I asked one question "Do Graduate Students teach intro freshman classes at Tulane (no merely labs) or not. Where your personal attacks on me are coming from is absurd. Read my posts. They have all been polite until personal attacks started. But you are right I get paid millions of dollars to dissuade prospective students from going to Tulane. A school I happen to like and as FC notes I was accepted to and respect. As to ■■■■■■ they work both ways. If middle aged adults are posting numerous times a day to influence students to go to one school or another that is as trollish as it comes.

jym626 wow.I have been posting since 2007.

Perhaps you misread posts, wsd. No one attacked you. FC felt you attacked him, and I feel you attacked me (posts # 42, 43, 46) when I inquired as to whether your dau was at TU. I simply do not understand the reason you are so interested in this, nor does FC. We have done our best to answer your questions and no one attacked you. Perhaps you misunderstand. As for now, until some new information surfaces, there is no answer to your question.

Not sure what difference it makes when you registered with cc. My observation was that after a 4 mo hiatus you suddenly took in interest here, in this thread, right after the ■■■■■’s posts were removed, with almost half of your new total post count (which until today was about 14 total in a 3 yr timeframe) being in this very thread, all in a few hours. Again, just an observation. Timing was quite curious-- coincidental?

Not sure what you are talking about jym626. You do a great job attacking someone who asks a question and poor job in answering. Is it your position that only prospective students, students and parents of students can post on the Tulane site on this board? If so you all have some problems with several of your regular posters. Do graduate students teach some intro freshman courses at Tulane?

No one is attacking you wsd. I merely wondered if your dau was at TU and you went off the deep end. Chill. Really. Deep breaths…

I called my s to see if he had any knowledge of the use of grad students teaching freshman classes. He did not. I asked him about his classes this semester, and discovered that there is a fully operational cadaver lab for his anatomy class in the basement of Reily!! Ewww.

There is no further information that anyone seems to have at this point to answer your question, wsd. There really is no reason to keep asking it over and over and OVER. Surely if/when someone has further info they will post it here. Again- feel free to ask the admissions office, administration, and even email Pres. Cowen while you are at it. His email address is scowen@tulane.edu. His office phone # is 504-865-5201. He is very approachable. I am sure he would love to hear from you.

putting dwnkboy on ignore list.

jym626. Thanks for telling me to chill. I have a JD and been a trial lawyer for 30 years. I know when I am being attacked and you are doing it. You are trying to make a reasonable inquiry personal in order to lead people to believe it is not true because of the person asking. I won’t repeat the question again.

Sorry wsd, but you are incorrect. Think whatever you want, but you are incorrect. You attacked me for asking you if your dau was at tulane. Now enough already. Congrats on your JD, but your radar is way off base here. I really was wondering if your dau was at tulane. Where is she in school?

jym626. After this reception you must be kidding.

Again-- you are overthinking, wsd. Really, Genuine interest. Makes the conversation more civil. and congenial. Really-- take your professional hat off (mine is off) and chat. No one attacked anyone here-- except maybe for that dwnkboy poster and the mods removed most of his offensive posts.

jym626. Happy to buy you a drink or two. Also makes the conversation more civil. Prefer to let my daughter post if she chooses to. She goes to a top small LAC.

Agreed, wsd, but its a little early in the day for me
I went to a top small LAC for undergrad too. We might have a lot in common.

Would buy FC a drink too.
