<p>If duke police bust you for having marijuana paraphernalia and ashes but actually no marijuana, how bad could that citation possibly be? Will employers/future grad schools ever see anything other than your transcript? Could they find out?</p>
<p>Just a little paranoid I guess. Also, what would happen if this was not your first citation? For instance, you got written up before for a similar situation (no weed but paraphernalia)</p>
<p>I doubt CC is a good place to ask these things. Why not contact the Duke police department, or the Duke office that handles judicial affairs, or the free attorney services sponsored by the DSG, or your RA/RC/GR/RLHS.</p>

<p>And smoking pot is stupid. Forget about abstract arguments over whether it should be criminalized (I think it should), no one can claim that smoking anything is good for you and why play with such trouble for a few moments of escapism? Find something else and use some discipline. You are incredibly privileged just to be able to go to Duke.</p>
