Discrepancy between Cornell and USNews figures

I read Cornell’s Common Data set (http://dpb.cornell.edu/irp/pdf/CDS/cds_2003-04.pdf</a>) and they have ED admissions at 1127, whereas collegeboard.com and USNews have it at about 1700. I’m only a junior this year, but was wondering if USnews simply reported the facts wrong, or if Cornell admitted the difference in students after deferral? Thanks.

I think the US News data is a year older than the Cornell data.
