yea, u have to type it in manually lol.

you’ll memorize the thingies soon. . . sadly. :P

good night CC-im sleeping. night plagu.

Everything’s in, and now to chill out and wait to see about other scholarships and schoolwork and stuff. It’ll be interesting to see who gets it and everything!

I put more work in those essays than in all my English classes combined. Goodluck everyone. Recommender submitted 15 mins before the deadline. Wow. lol

^^^ that makes me feel better, I wasn’t sure how much to write and on another forum a gms scholar said that he had simply written 1/2-1 page for each question so that’s what I shot for…hopefully it’s not too short (other applicants had written 2-3 pages)!! oh well…no use worrying about it now that it’s done!! :)) good luck everyone!!

I want to find the cure for cancer and my EC’s are indicative of that. My essays were short but I got my point across so… I am in Upward Bound and I am eligible for the Pell Grant.

4.01 GPA

@ IBSenior254

As that GPA unweighted and 4.0 scale?

Like, if you get an A in all of your classes, the maximum gpa that you can have unweighted and on a 4.0 scale is 4.0.

hi everyone, does anyone know how many finalists there were and how many people received gmsp last year?

Its on my 4.0 scale but my IB classes boost my grades. Its going to get much higher after I take my exams and get the full credits:)

Yeah so isn’t that weighted?

@jtm2292
I’ve read that about 1000 applicants received the GM scholarship last year.

@IBSenior

i believe IB classes are on the weighted gpa scale

…?

Yeah because aren’t AP and IB practically the same? And I know for a fact that AP is weighted because I am in AP.

AP and IB are weighted the same in college admissions I believe.
and AP is weighted 1.16 at my school, and we don’t have IB.

IB is definitely weighted

^me too unwavering, i don’t think i’ve ever worked so diligently on essays!

i’m glad there were so many though. i know several people at my school who chose not to even apply because of the essays, good for us! ;)

haha I almost didn’t apply. Glad I did though because now I wont regret it in the future, even if I don’t get it.

same here, now the long agonizing wait!!!
ahh i just started cc and i think im addicted. i have so much hw to do but i keep looking at threads about colleges and scholarships!!
