To all those that got rejected: How many did it say applied?

Like over 20K

No specific number? Because last year it was over 20,500.

Hey guys what does your school profile look like? What are the categories on it?I’m pretty sure my guidance counselor gave me the wrong thing (rolls eyes).

It has the statistics of the school, different data about our makeup, schools kids have gotten into, etc.

@Obstinate

Mine doesn’t have schools kids have gotten into. Just administrators, type of school: public 4 year, grading system, number of teachers with masters and doctorates, and requirements for graduation.

The paper they gave me doesnt have any of that, there’s no way it’s the school profile. I’m sure that there are different things on the profile depending on the school but there should be certain stats. on all of them.

How do I fax these things? I dialed 1-703-205-2079 and it said something about calling your carrier. What am I doing wrong? Do I not dial 1 and then the number?

Thanks.

School profile had number of kids, average of SAT ACT scores, types of Advanced Placement classes offered. Location. Teacher ratio, average class size. Um. That’s all I can remember. Sorry

My school’s profile is online. I’ll PM you it.

HEY BHAGWAN!
i am sooo scared… i am a finalist and i sent everything in the day after i got the letter in mail… but my counselor spelled it gate millenium instead of gateS millenium while faxing it… i hope that does not cause any trouble. oh man i am hoping soooooooo badly and praying a lot to get this scholarship! D:

@dilasha THAT RUINS EVERYTHING!
j/k likely won’t matter at all, doubt they even notice it

I’m sending mine tomorrow. I think my profile is fine. I mean, I asked, they gave it, asked a student and he was like “yup that’s our school profile”. It’s probably just different for each school and it has the important info for grading and I think that’s all that matters.

Quick Question:
I understand that African-Americans and Native Americans were informed of their status but do they inform those who got it first and then those who didn’t or is it in an unspecific order?

So I’m going to ask again. Lol. Bcause I’m just curious. Is it true that 90% of the finalists become receipients?

I wonder the same, it was 2010Here and shyman who answered that question first right?

Where’d ya’ll get the information from exactly? How true is it?

Ah, it doesn’t matter I guess. I mean, I’ll find out in April if I’m in or not.

Ahh! The Gates people are so nice! They called and let me know that the fax only put through about half of my SAR (Student Aid Report). This is the 3rd time they’ve called…they really are on our side you guys!

hey guys, does anyone know if the faster we get documents in, the faster we’ll know? or is it all at one time?

Last year, all notifications came out on the same day. I guess they’re doing it this way from now on to save on the stress for applicants that haven’t heard back yet. I mean, imagine the stress if one person hears back on the 26th and everyone hears back but you until, say, April 14th!?!

I don’t believe how fast you get them turned in matters, as long as you get them in before the deadline? I’m so anxious you guys. Baylor is riding on this scholarship.
Haha. But umm. You’re right. We will find out in April but the days are SO long. Last year the results came on on Prom day. So I guess that Frday is when I will know. :/

The days are long? I feel like the last thing I remmeber it was November! Haha but seriously. It will go by in no time.

Does an e-mail count as a Admission Acceptance Letter? Or does it have to be something a college send from mail? Thank you!
