<p>I’m Hispanic from Texas. If everything was mailed Friday, I’m expecting arrival by Monday-Tuesday? I’m so nervous. I have a 3.89 GPA and I hope I can be considered as good as the rest of you guys. 
I’ve been hoping and praying I get this scholarship. I have the support of everyone at my school, I really don’t want to let them (or myself) down. :(</p>

Does the Gates cover transportation costs?
Yes Gates will cover transportation based on what your financial aid officer estimates it to be. If you go across the country those expenses will be covered for trips home for holidays and stuff based on your award letter. I believe Gates covers health insurance if it’s listed on your financial aid package. SD is different about student health coverages so Gates didn’t have to pay for that.</p>
<p>@ Javrie: SDA’s in the house.lol But dude congrats on getting the scholarship; I need this thing so bad though. USC tuition is 55,000 and even though I already committed to going it would be nice to not pay for anything.lol so what school are you going to?</p>
<p>Oh yeah, I’m also Asian. So they mail from DC…to CA for me…that’ll probably be Tuesday. How lame, waiting so long just because I’m all the way across the nation.
