<p>I’m a Gates Scholar!!! African American and got it yesterday! I advise you all to check your mail box again even after the mail had came because that’s what I did and it was there! Have a 3.84 unweighted and a 4.74 weighted…3 pep from my school found out they got it out of the 4…Good luck guys</p>

<p>Virginia and yes I was because hope was leaving once my mail man came and left but then something told me to go back out there and check cause I kept hearing stuff like a truck so I went back out and opened it again and there it was! I ran in the and woke my mom up…she started crying! I did 2!</p>

@lover2010: Virginia is practically a part of DC and if the UNCF mailed it on friday it would make sense that you would get it on saturday seeing your proximity from DC.

<p>Hello everyone! I just found out yesterday that I’ve been selected as a gates millennium scholar!!! I was completely nervous and I prayed to god that I would receive this great opportunity. Next fall, I’ll be attending the University of Maryland, College Park majoring in Engineering. So I hope to all the finalists the best of luck.</p>
