Can they test us on the difference between disinterested and uninterested? I know the former traditionally means impartial … but few people adhere to it today.

And it gets even more perplexed:

Uninterested = Bored
Disinterested = Partial
Uninterest = - (Does not exist)
Disinterest = Boredom

So yeah… Why does disinterested mean partial whereas disinterest means boredom? What madness is this???

Can they test us on this? I hear they’ve done so in the past.
