Dismissed, Now what?

What are the options for a dismissed csu student?

You need to make an appointment with your former advisor and ask them specifically what steps you need to take in order to be re-admitted.

Then, you need to follow those steps.

Most often students who are dismissed because of bad grades are asked to
a) take a certain number of credits at another institution to show that they really are academically prepared for further studies,
or
b) take a certain number of academic terms off from school entirely while they contemplate their purpose in life and the role that future studies could play in it.

they already declined my appeal. can a dismissed csu student reapply to another csu and possibly transfer coursework over?

Why were you dismissed?
Is this dismissal permanent and irrevocable, or can you apply for readmission in the future if you complete certain actions between now and then?

Your chances for admission anywhere else depend on the answers to those questions.

I was dismissed after 3 years of bad academics. My appeal was denied, so I will not be readmitted. Idealy, I would like to transfer my credits to another school, and finish my degree, but I’m not sure that’s even possible. Any ideas?

Try University of Phoenix jk but really, I’d make an appointment with an advisor. You’re going to have to go in to admissions and have someone work with you. Be persistant!!

There are any number of colleges and universities that will admit you. However if you have three years of bad grades to overcome, you probably need to go out into the world and work for a while and think carefully about whether you want to do the work required to complete a four year degree. Make certain that you have a very clear purpose and goal before you apply as a transfer anywhere else.
