Disparity in Summer Program Choices?

Hi, so I’ll be a rising junior this summer, and I’ve been looking into some summer programs I’m interested in attending. This past summer, I went to the Key Club International Convention, TSA National Conference, Counterpoint Debate Camp, CTY, volunteered at a local Chinese School summer camp, interned for a research lab at NYU, interned with a local Senator her her re-election campaign, played with my Varsity Golf Team, and worked on some writing projects for my school newspaper.

Obviously, I noticed in hindsight that none of these activities correspond whatsoever. As some background, I’ve always been a really driven person. I tend to get really passionate about one subject area, and upon losing interest, I immediately switch and become passionate in another area. This has allowed me to take advantage of some very crucial opportunities over the years, but I’m also afraid that I won’t seem single-minded and dedicated to adcoms.

I’m currently very interested in political sciences and law. I’m a reporter for the school newspaper, take part in JSA, Lincoln Douglas Debate, Model UN, Moot Court, and Mock Trial. I am also on my school’s Math Team (HMMT, Moody’s, PuMAC, ARML), Science Olympiad, Key Club, Technology Student Association, and iGEM.

This summer, I’m planning on attending the Key Club International Convention, TSA National Conference, and continue my internships. However, I’ve also considered attending HCSSiM, a well known math camp at Hampshire College. Any thoughts on whether I should try out this math camp, or perhaps pursue activities that gear more towards a single goal? Is it ok to be lingering on so many interests, or should I simply stick to one general career cluster for the rest of my high school years?
