Hi guys
I need some opinion about my disqualification at cal poly pomona as in Biology major. It was never my choice till it was too late and I was disqualified. I would like to come back as Electrical computer engineer after I make up my GPA. The question that I have is should I make up my GPA and stick with cal poly or forget about this whole mess and start over like in community college? Sorry I know this is not the right section but since anybody who has an idea with ECE could give me some input. Thank you

Go to ju co. That’s what I’m doing. Here’s why it’s a good idea:

1) you save tens of thousands of dollars
2) when you apply to state schools, they won’t even look at your high school gpa, so if you have a low high school gpa, then this is a very good thing (assuming you excel in ju co).
3) WAY smaller class sizes.
4) don’t have to take “weed-out” classes. These are the worst classes that you would ever have to take, by far.
5) Instructors are more personable and are not involved in research, so all of their time is spent on their teaching.

There are also some downsides:

1)no social life
2) boring boring boring.

In the end, though, I will have saved so much money. Basically, Junior college is a crappy place to be, but it’s a great place to have been, i.e. it sucks while you’re there, but it’s worth it when you get out. I’m an EE major. I say go to ju co. It sucks, but it saves SO much $$$
