Does Maryland accept these “distance” classes where you take the course online and the exam at the college? According to the Transfer Credit Service the course transfers, has anyone had any experience with the “distance” class and receiving credit?

Generally speaking, you can think of it like getting AP or CLEP or credit by examination. All of these also require proctored examination. There are some courses that are really modules (I.e. a course on microsoft excel) that are not college level.

Another way to tell if the course is legit, order your school transcript and take a look at the course. At least at my md cc, if you were looking at the transcript, there was nothing at all different about the online classes, no demarcation to indicate “distance learning” or anything of the sort.

Thanks and you are correct! They do not say they are online. TY!!
