<p>Does Cornell has something similar to Amherst’s DIVOH weekend? I’m rlly intersted in Cornell and I think an event like that would be beneficial.</p>
<p>Yes. There is a program offered in the fall of senior year before you apply and in the spring of senior year after you’ve been accepted, called the Diversity Hosting Weekend.</p>
<p>It allows for diversity students to travel to cornell (expenses paid) and stay for 3 days 2 nights at Cornell with a student and learn more about their specific college and the resources available at Cornell. There are also programmed events that go on, such as a dance, class tours, library tours, etc.</p>
<p>All around it’s a great time. I was hosted when I was a pre-frosh, and it helped me make my decision to attend, and I have now hosted 3 more pre-frosh and 2 of them decided to come as well :)</p>
<p>Swarthmore College also has something similar to Amherst and Cornell if you’re interested. It goes from oct. 3 to oct. 5 and they pay for everything as well. However, it’s focused on students of color. If you’re interested just go to their website and sign up online.</p>
