DIY advice

So, on this extremely nervous-making day, I am trying to re-caulk my bathtub. Seems simple enough, right? But the tile is so close to the tub there’s barely any caulk to remove, and only room for a mat-knife blade to clean it out, sometimes not even that.

Can I clean it and caulk over it safely? Or, does anyone know a DIY website that might answer such a question?

(Yes, I know I have just started a thread on the most boring subject on earth…I sincerely apologize!)

I’d look on the “this old house” website. They probably have a video.
(they suggests filling the tub with water first. Apparently makes the crack wider?)

goto youtube and there are many. I did that myself by looking at those videos. the first one was difficult, but after 3 of them, I can do it in short time.

thank you! I knew I’d get great answers, even on this subject! Next–ingrown toenails…(not)
