I submitted my application through Common App before I received my highest SAT score. Therefore, on the application it shows that I have a 1780 SAT score. You cannot change the application after it is submitted. However, on collegeboard, which I sent to the school, it’s a 2010. Does anyone know which scores they go by - the self reported score or college board’s score? Should I contact the school to make sure? I just don’t want the school to believe that a 1780 is my highest score when it’s not!
The CA scores just serve as a placeholder until an official score report arrives from Collegeboard. Otherwise, they would ask you to send your official scores.
They go by the official CB scores.
they can’t rely on self-reported scores. What if your actual score was a 1200 but you decided to write down 2100?
