<p>I was under the impression that colleges only receive the scores for the essay section of the SAT/ACT, and not the essays themselves. From reading another post, it seems that the admissions people do receive the actual essays? Just curious. My son did well on the essays–wonder if the admissions will see them.

<p>If you find the common data set for the college, it will tell you whether they consider the SAT essay at all for admission. Most do not.</p>
<p>If the college wants to see the SAT essay, they can request it, but as mabs said, most do not consider it.</p>
