<p>Regarding the Distinction, Prestige, Excellence, Presidential, and Medalist Scholarships - if a person who is awarded one of these declines, does the scholarship then cascade down to the next person who qualifies? In other words, if there are say 10 Presidential Scholarships available to be awarded, in the end does the university make sure that the full 10 are awarded after receiving one or more responses to decline the award? Thanks!</p>
<p>If they say there is an “exact number” of scholarships, for instance, the Presidential Scholarship, then they will ensure that 10 people receive it.</p>
<p>If it’s a scholarship that is just awarded provided you meet a certain requirement like class rank or test score, they don’t replace the scholarships if the person doesn’t come…because some years they might award 350, other years 400, or 417…</p>
