<p>The correlation is there, but it’s not overwhelming. The top 10% of my class usually gets about a 4 or 5 on all their AP tests, but the average SAT score for the top 10% is somewhere around 1900.</p>

<p>This is very true. When I took the SAT in May 2010, I had just taken the AP English Literature and Composition test, and the SAT Reading section felt easy by comparison. I ended up scoring about ~100 points higher than my PSAT equivalent.</p>
