<p>Honestly, it really varies from person to person. The AP test can’t really be used to correlate nice scores on the SAT because they’re completely different tests, and as previously stated, have different weight with the writing portion.
One might find the SAT hard in comparison to the AP or even the ACT English/Reading sections. It all depends on the type of test taker you are… I received a 680 on my SAT (not the best), but received a 5 (AP) and a 34 (ACT English). It just depends on what type of test you’re good at taking. Clearly, you may not be the best at the SAT, so try the ACT for your standardized testing.</p>
