It has been my dream to study in a famous Ivy League like Harvard/Yale/Columbia. Thing is, I know my limits and my capabilities, and I know that based on my current academic and EC records, I won’t be able to do my undergraduate studies in those schools. But as for my graduate studies, MBA in particular, I’m sure I stand a chance.

Right now I’m contemplating my options for my undergraduate studies. Due to personal and family circumstances, I’d most probably be earning my bachelor’s degree in the Australian National University, which is a top school and is ranked in the top 20 schools in the world.

So, back to the MBA thing. Considering I take a double degree in something related to business, say International Business and Economics, and involve myself actively in the EC activities offered there, and then maybe work for 1 or 2 years in a company there. Do you here all think that this is a good way to fight for a position in the MBA course offered by the prestigious b-schools of the mentioned Ivy Leagues?

Of course, I know this idea seems a little vague, due to a lack of elaboration. However, I just want a rough opinion from everyone, because I do not know whether a graduate from a top university in Australia can make his or her way to the top Ivy b-schools in USA.

Thank you.
