<p>The grade inflation does relieve some of the pressure on grades. So maybe Brown students have more time for extracurriculars or for research?</p>
<p>This is a view that really needs to be done away with. Grade inflation doesn’t exist in all departments, and even in ones that do, many students will work hard to grasp the material or do something they are proud of, even if an A is guaranteed.</p>
<p>Most science majors I know (myself included) have very little free time.</p>
