Do B's mean I'm doomed?

I’m a sophomore in high school, and I’m taking all advanced classes. I’ve gotten some b’s (more a’s than b’s) and I was wondering if that meant that I was doomed for most of my schools (and if I stand a chance with an ACT score of 33+)

OOS:

  • University of California, Berkeley (pretty sure this will be a reach no matter what)
  • University of California, Los Angeles (pretty sure this will be a reach no matter what. Also I’m a legacy here btw.)
  • University of California, San Diego
  • University of California, Irvine (I’m a legacy here btw)
  • University of California, Santa Barbara
  • University of Southern California (pretty sure this will be a reach no matter what)
  • Harvey Mudd (pretty sure this will be a reach no matter what)

In state:

  • Colorado State University, Fort Collins
  • University of Colorado, Boulder
  • Colorado School of Mines (Idk i feel like this will also be a reach)

If you could just tell me, based off of stats where I stand/what I need to do to improve it would be great.

Thank you!

Of course you are not doomed. You have junior year to show an upward trend. You should have the conversation with your parents about how much they can contribute to college. YOU can only borrow $5500 in your name freshman year. There are net price calculators on every school’s financial aid page. UC’s are notorious for not giving aid to out of state students. Have a realistic plan.

We’d need a class ranking, GPA, EC’s etc to give you a reasonable guess, and even then it’s just a guess. But you seemed set on applying to a University of California. There is really no reason to spend that much money when you have Boulder in-state unless your father and/or mother is an oil tycoon. Boulder is a public Ivy and a solid in-state school. You can achieve anything at a state flagship, no need to go out of state for exorbitant prices.
