<p>My D is a Junior and we are trying to fine tune our list for next year’s applications. Can someone speak to the culture of the program at BSU? I know it is an intense program that likely leaves little time for a life outside of the training, but do the students feel a part of the larger community or very separate? Do they get involved in any other activities? Go Greek? Attend sporting events? Do they all room together?</p>

<p>There is no doubt that our schedules are busy and demanding, but that does not mean that there is no time for outside activities. Actually, one of the things I love most about Ball State, is that it is such a large university. This leaves plenty of opportunities to have a life away from musical theatre. There is a wonderful musical theatre family that loves and supports one another, but we all understand that we sometimes need time away. Sporting events and other such things are regular activities for mt’s here. A couple of us are even a part of Greek life, and though it can be tough to balance these two huge time commitments, it is possible. The faculty supports these outside activities. It is an important part of college life, and they understand and encourage that. The mt’s here all experience lives and activities outside of musical theatre.</p>
