Do coaches look at grades?

<p>I play basketball and am doing pretty good. Last year got 24 PPG. 6 Assists and 6 Rebounds. But I also do well in school. Last year i had a 4.0 and took 5 AP Classes ( 2 were 1 semester though). Will that help me?</p>

<p>Of course coaches look at your grades as you have to pass the NCAA threshold for your sport (SAT + GPA). In addition, you can be the best player out there but you are not good to your coach or your team if you are academically ineligible to play. However, a stellar gpa will not make up for athletic ability, so if you must balance the 2.</p>
