Do college board people look through your test booklet?

I know I do alot of markings in my test booklet
like crossing off answers i know aren’t right, and doing problems out for math, and writing little notes to myself that might help me answer a question

Do college board people analyze these just for statistical purposes or anything like that?

Just wondering…

I was wondering that same question today while I took the test. Probably if they suspect cheating they might pull it out and if you don’t have any work in it that would further validate their suspicion. Maybe they use it to check handwritting as well.

No.

Off-topic: Has anyone noticed an abundance of conspiracy-theory type threads lately?

fiona, what do you mean?

Fiona, I think that’s typical right after a test date. People get anxious about every little thing that could jeopardize their scores (and this is in no way directed towards this thread in particular). My advice is to relax, people! Chances are nothing went wrong.

I’m going to stay away from the specific question threads until after I get my score. Much less stressful that way.

i seriously doubt that they will bother to check the test booklet… only for certain special cases maybe…

All,

My guess is that CB won’t look through your test booklet unless the test supervisor requests it. The test supervisor has to send back a report (called a Supervisor Irregularity Report letter) to CB and it must include any suspicious or otherwise, for lack of a better word, ‘fishy’ behavior. If the test supervisor thinks that someone is writing down something that would help them cheat in the booklet, then it goes in the report. If the supervisor doesn’t see that anything is suspicious, or that any of the booklets have anything unfair written in the by the student (or students), then there’s nothing suspicious to report, and probably nothing to worry about, barring any catastrophic breakdowns (which do happen :)).

Hope that makes sense. :D

Oh man I hope not. I write really weird things in my booklet… I actually abbreviated Richard into Dick on this last test, I hope I don’t get in trouble…

LOL.

Nah, you’ll be okay. That’d just be nitpicking. :)

CB would only get in a twist if they found like, say, a credit card number, or SSN, or some sort of threat in a test booklet.

So you’re okay. :)
