Do colleges accept Algebra 1a/1b?

to meet their math requirements? I took both of the courses in 9th and 10th grade to improve my math skills because I sucked at math in middle school. I am currently a senior in Trig but I am very concerned that colleges won’t accept Algebra 1a/1b to fulfill their requirements.

well, colleges do prefer you have a year of geo,alg II,pre-calc and usually progress to either Calc, Stat, or Trig. I am sure those courses will “count” because technically you did take three years of math. To be honest though, it will not be what they prefer. As long as the school your applying to doesn’t put a HUGE emphasis on math you should still have a decent shot. Yet, any school that puts some stress on math courses or if your applying to something math related (which I don’t think you are according to your response to math), then your chances may be dimmed alittle. Honestly, it won’t be a strong point in your application, but you can try and focus on other things like maybe english or history grades etc. Good luck! and hope this helps.

Thanks a lot! I’m not going into a math related field, so obviously that helps!
