Do colleges accept low GPA's?

when i say low, i mean under 2.0…are there any colleges other then community colleges that accept that low of gpa’s?

UCR may accept you. If your a sophomore just step up your game next year. If your a junior, well try harder this semester.

In short, no. Definitely not UCR. There’s no excuse for less than a 2.0. I saw my little sister nearly die (huge impact on me + family) and I managed to pull off a 3.5.

dont get put down by summersktr. My friend had 3 D’s, 1 C, and an F JUNIOR year. it’s still possible with DECENT SAT test scores.

thanks for the advice…

i really messed up freshman and sophomore year…this year im doing fairly decent. this 3rd quarter im doing excellent though. im trying to up my 1.61 gpa to at least a 2.0…which i hope is possible, in the short amount of time

It’s possible, check into state schools and such, I know that Eastern Michigan University, central michigan university, and probably others do have some students that had 2.0s. Concordia University (in Michigan) has some students with 1.0s… Try filling out a profile for a college search on fastweb.com , it’ll tell you what schools are matches for you.

Remember, it’s not the end of the world if you have to transfer out of a community college.

Maybe you should just get your GED so the schools won’t have to look at your GPA. I know someone who dropped out high school in tenth grade, took the GED, took the SATS (got a really good score actually) but nonwithstanding, he go into Berkeley regardless of the fact he didn’t have much of a GPA to show them anyway.

There are about 3400 4-year colleges in the US and most of them are trying very hard to fill up their freshman classes. Some just require a high school diploma.
