Do colleges care about A+s?

Will a college be impressed by that rare “A+” or is it just as meaningful as an A to them?

Some colleges when they recalculate your GPA (taking out electives, putting it on a 4.0 scale) also take out all the -'s and +'s related to grades. I know that the University of Michigan used to make A+'s and A-'s A’s (they recently changed there policy). Other colleges leave them on. While an A+ may look good, I highly doubt that it will make or break your acceptance into a school. You should definitely try for that A+, but do not let other classes take the back seat and suffer.
