Do colleges care if you are a club officer?

And by this I don’t mean president, just an officer position below the president position. Are colleges likely to care if I was a club officer or not?

Yes they do care if you’re a club officer but only if it is significant. You can be president of DECA but in an inactive club, it nearly meaningless. The point is college admission officers are very good at their job and can spot a club collector when they see one.

Yes, all officer positions show leadership, and colleges LOVE to see leadership stuff.

Yea… not to brag but I have four of “lower” positions. They still hold some form of significance to admission officers. Leadership is Leadership.

most colleges give little weight to ECs so “club officer” type positions are fine. If you’re thinking very selective colleges they are not enough to be competitive. Stanford, for example, says

This is not a description of club officer (or even club president)

@popitx has drunk the kool-aid and is handing you a cup saying “Drink up!” Read what @mikemac said. There’s your gospel.
