I have a pretty high gpa, but my transcript has many more A-s than As. Will this seem like I’m just doing enough work to get the A? Is this a problem?
It depends on the college
Well there’s nothing you can do about it now.
Some schools like the UC’s don’t care about A’s or A-'s as their way of calculating GPA is very formulaic.
Other schools (Stanford/Harvard come to mind, not sure about the others) which look at the transcript instead of numbers will probably favor the person with A’s opposed to A-'s.
A lot depends on how colleges view your high school and its rigor. Is it a school known for giving the easy A, or is it stingy with grades? Colleges will likely know this and judge your grades accordingly. An A- on one high school can mean more than an A at another
