Do colleges know of the other schools you're applying to?

<p>for starters... the chances of "HYPMS" exchanging is as possible as any other colleges.. they have no inherent relation</p>

<p>Some colleges swap ED lists.. thats how people who accept ED and apply elsewhere get their asses kicked</p>

<p>No, they generally don't know. An exception would be schools in the same system, for example, I couldn't have accepted admission to UCLA and add UC Berkeley as a backup, because they would have known.</p>

<p>burmell, HYPMS is an acroynm that stands for Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, and Stanford.</p>
