This is not just for GPA, but for test scores.
Do colleges like students who get high test scores to start off with, or those who take more tests but show improvement.
For example, if 2 kids were exactly the same in every way, and they both have 1500 on SAT,
but one student has taken it twice, and he got a 1300 first time.
So who would be the better pick? How much can improvement affect your chances?
Also, how about doing worse - GPA, or test score wise - each year, but still maintaining high ones?
anyone^^
I don’t think improvement gives you a boost on your application against someone that had a your highest score to begin with. But taking the test multiple times and not showing any improvement or decreasing can make Admission Officers doubt your ability to study.
I know it doesn’t make a difference, but would a person who just took it once look better?
