I took the ACT in September and got a 32 composite (31 E 31 M 32 R 34 M) but today I just received my essay score and got a 23 
. Do colleges like BC, ND, and Penn put a lot of weight on the essay??
Do you have to apply to a certain “school” at these colleges (science, engineering,etc.)? It’ll depend on that, for example engineering likely won’t care at all. Also, if you look up the scaling data, 23 isn’t too bad.
