Do colleges look at WHEN you took SAT IIs?

I have a question about SAT II scores: I took Chemistry in my freshman year and got a 750 (after an intro-level course) and Math II in my sophomore year and got a 770 (after pre-calc). Will colleges factor in when I took my SAT IIs when looking at the scores? Are my scores at least comparable to someone who got, say, 800s in both in junior year? And the real question is: I am now in higher-level chemistry and math classes, so is it worth re-taking these in hopes of 800s? If it won’t make a difference, I want to save myself the time and anguish. Thank you!

If you think you are able to get 800s now, I think you should retake them. Especially for Math II where ~10% get 800, so anything less isn’t very strong. The time-factor might not really matter to colleges, because there are plenty of people who are taking these SATs in 9th or 10th grade and are getting 800s.

If you have time, go for the Math2. If you are also taking AP Chemistry, then you may retake Chem too. However, the current scores are okay and subject test scores are usually supplemental. It is more critical to get your SAT/ACT score up. I don’t think they will ever consider which year you took the test. You should take the test when you are ready or feeling comfortable with it.
