I got accepted as a candidate to Tri-M, and was wondering if it was worth my time. Will colleges, such as UMBC, really care? I plan to be an English major, if that helps.

At my school, Tri-M isn’t really a big deal. And although any officer position will obviously help your application, I think that if you’re going to go into English in college, it might just give you a little bit of edge. In the end, honor societies are only worth it if you do something worthwhile while you’re in them.
