AAU Nationals probably, not NXN or Footlocker.

So you ran this?
http://www.aauresults.org/crosscountry/pdf/2009/20091260021613.pdf

Congrats on being all-american! But I don’t think its on the same level as Nike or Footlocker.
PS: I see a lot of guys from Michigan on that list.

You might be on the USATF list too.

Regardless, I usually group XC/Indoor Track/Outdoor Track as one broadly defined sport, running, and don’t consider those who do XC/Indoor/Outdoor to be triple sport athletes.

true. NXN and FL are much harder to place at, but that doesn’t strip me of my title just because it was earned at a less competitive meet

With my large track family history, with all of my mom’s side being statewide champs… I have to say it’s all running. Not even my parents consider it a different sport.

oh yeah and when I said Lukas didn’t do track, I was talking about the IL state series, clearly he participates in the post season at much higher level meets, but it would be nice to see him domminate at our good old state track meet

p.s. I’m a girl :(

Yeah I just realized that sorry. I looked at your screen name and was like “ohhhh”

Yeah when I was looking at results I didn’t know whether to look for “Alex A.” or “Alexa”
Still, congratulations on being All-American.

^actually, alexandria is my middle name because I’m a huge internet safety freak, so it wouldn’t be under either of those names! haha

Jersey13, wouldn’t it be a statistical anomaly if NJ had better runners than states with a larger population, like Texas and California?

Maybe you are talking about averages, rather than top runners.

^ I never said NJ had better runners than Texas or California lol. But we certainly have better runners than Illinois.

Like statistically?

you’re right because illinois only had FL champion and gatorade xc runner of the year

Verzbicas is an anomaly…

^ NJ has the US #1 and #2 in the 3200, Illinois does not have the #4 or the #5.

Anything else to say?

first of all, GIRLS. second of all, it was indoor, I haven’t followed the rankings in awhile but I’m sure they’re both up there

^ IL #26, NJ #8 #12 #16 #17 #20 #21 #22

yeah, well you’re precious little site clearly isn’t updated. the girl at #26 ran 10:30 and change at ILPTT along with another girl. I was there, I saw them do it.

Not my precious little site, just the most commonly used site for Track rankings. What is ILPTT?

IL prep top times, our version of an indoor state meet
